Round-Up Disclosure
When you enroll in The Village Bank’s Round-Up Savings program, we will round up the amount of any Debit Card purchase made by you or a joint owner of your account to the next whole dollar amount, and transfer the amount in excess of your purchase amount from your designated checking account to your designated savings account. This process will happen for all posted transactions at the end of each business day.
Your checking and savings accounts must be maintained in an active status. This can be achieved through customer-initiated activity such as a deposit or withdrawal, excluding ACH debits or credits.
If, on any business day, you do not have sufficient funds available in your designated checking account, or if the transaction has overdrawn your designated checking account, we will not round-up for purchases posted on that business day and we will cancel the round-up transfer for that day.
If your debit card purchase is subsequently reversed, the corresponding round-up transfer will remain in the designated savings account. We may cancel the Debit Card Round-Up transfer service at any time. Debit Card Round Up is available only on a Debit Card linked to a qualifying designated checking and savings account with The Village Bank.
The Village Bank or you the customer, may cancel or close your accounts at any time. Once you close your accounts, no additional round-up transactions will post.
