Joseph A. De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank, announced today that the Bank has made a $35,000 donation to Family Access of Newton.

A Newton institution since 1907, formerly known as Newton Community Center, Family Access is a non-profit organization that has helped strengthen the City of Newton and surrounding communities through a variety of child development programs. The programs include quality education and childcare for children, counseling and support to families, literacy services to families impacted by poverty, and school workshops to reduce child vulnerability to violence.

“Family Access has been instrumental in helping making Newton and our communities stronger. We’re proud to help support their programs that help make life better for families from all racial, cultural, and economic backgrounds,” said DeVito.
