The Village Bank has partnered with the Community Day Center of Waltham for the 10th annual Warm Winter Wishes drive to collect winter items to help keep our neighbors living in low-income or homeless situations warm during the winter season.
The drive will run from November 5 to December 27, and The Village Bank will accept donations of new or gently used men’s and women’s winter coats, hats, and gloves. The Bank is also collecting donations of new thermal underwear, men’s boxer briefs, women’s bras, and winter socks. This year the Bank will be collecting donations at two of their locations: their Wayland Office, located at 62 Boston Post Road and their Waltham Office, located at 251 Moody Street.
Located in Waltham, the Community Day Center of Waltham provides services for adults who are chronically homeless, living in shelters or on the streets in Metrowest. They provide the basic needs to navigate homelessness in terms of food, clothing, and hygiene.
“We are honored to partner with the Community Day Center of Waltham for the 10th year of our Warm Winter Wishes drive,” said Joseph De Vito, president and CEO of The Village Bank. “The Community Day Center of Waltham supports our community in an invaluable way, providing struggling neighbors with shelter and support in a safe, judgment-free environment filled with compassion and mutual respect.”
